The project aims at strengthening the capacity of universities and research centres (HEIs) in two regions (EU and Latin America), to lead a coalition of public institutions, agrofood business and labour and human rights advocates to develop different educative tools and training programs to ensure solid standards of decent work in EU-LA agricultural and trade relations and the fight against labour exploitation.
In order to do so, the project presents an innovative educational program that directly involves 10 HEIs from 7 different countries with strong commercial ties in terms of agricultural production. It directly involves academic institutions but also other key stakeholders, it designs a common shared curricula plus specialized training activities aimed at different professional profiles involved in rising labour protection standards in the agrifood sector.
